2nd Annual Spring Stampede Returns to Texas Motorplex

The 2nd Annual Spring Stampede powered by The Hose Connection will return to the Texas Motorplex in Ennis, TX May 23 - 26, 2024. The Stampede will be the second stop in the Flicker Promotions Points Series program where big money, shootouts, a points chase, and junior dragsters will return and be broadcast live by the Going Bracket Racing Media!


 


Thursday Shootouts: Lynn Gleghorn Memorial 1/4 Mile Shootout & FuelTech 1/8 Mile Shootout


Starting off the 4 day weekend of the Spring Stampede will be Test-N-Tune from 12 - 7 pm, both 1/8 mile and 1/4 mile clocks will be enabled for anyone needing to make passes.


The Lynn Gleghorn Memorial 1/4 Mile Shootout and the FuelTech 1/8 Mile Shootout will each have their official time run at 5pm with Round 1 to follow. Fowler Trucking & Diesel is providing FREE beer for out 1/4 Mile Shootout party to be held in the grandstands at the 1/4 mile finish line!

Rick's Powder Coating Friday $5K Warm-Up


Friday's racing starts off with time trials at 8 am followed by Rick's Powder Coating Friday $5K Warm-Up race. Racers will compete for $5,000 to win, $1,000 to Runner-Up, and $500 at Semi's. Racers will run for $50 round money on Friday. No-Box will compete as its own class for the Environmental Oil Recovery $500 No-Box bonus, with the last remaining car combining into the Super Pro field.

Moser Engineering Saturday & Sunday $20K Main Events


The Moser Engineering Twin $20K's will start Saturday morning with new entry only time runs at 8 am followed by first round of eliminations. Contestants will be running for a $20,000 Grand Prize purse along with payouts of $5,000 for Runner-Up, $1500 at Semi's, and $150 round money beginning with 3rd round winners. No-Box will again compete as its own class for the Environmental Oil Recovery $2,000 No-Box bonus, with the last remaining car combining into the Super Pro field.


Laris Motorsports Insurance will provide the Racer's Appreciation Dinner Saturday night at 7pm. Make sure you get with a Laris Agent on-site to fill out information for a quote for an insurance policy. All racers who submit information for a quote will be entered into a drawing for a FREE 1 year $50,000 insurance policy!

Sunday's Moser Engineering $20K will feature the same payout structure and close out the competition for the weekend. Following Sunday's final round we'll be able to determine if we have a new points series leader or if the Patton brothers will still be in the lead.

Burleson Construction Jr Dragster $500 Events Saturday & Sunday


Saturday and Sunday will see the return of the Burleson Construction Jr Dragster races with contestants competing for a $500 Grand Prize, $200 for Runner-Up, and $100 at Semi's. New this year is the Ezell Race Car's Little Stick $100 Bonus for the last remaining 6-9 year old racer. Jr's will receive one time run each day, following 1st round of big cars. All Juniors will also be entered to win a Port-A-Tree Pocket Practice Tree, chosen by random tech card draw on Sunday.



 

Bonuses at the 11th Annual Southern Big Buck Nationals



Back again is Gleggy's West Coast Bonus. Any racer who resides West of Texas qualifies to receive a 10% bonus if they win Rick's Powder Coating $5K or one of the Moser Engineering $20K events. Gleghorn's had to make good on his Damn Yankee Bonus this year, will he pay a West Coaster also this year?



Another returning bonus is the Double00ShitShow $500 Worst Winning Package of the Weekend. It doesn't happen often, but at a Flicker Promotions event it can pay to be a NDMF.


 

Flicker Promotions Points Series



New for 2024 is our Flicker Promotions points series. Racers will earn points at all 3 Flicker Promotions events to win over $37,000 in prizes. Top prize awarded will be a 2024 Ezell Race Cars Stage 1 dragster including a Riggeal's Performance Fiberglass one piece body, and Innovative Glassworx scoop. Second place is set to receive a set of Stainless Works dragster headers and Third place will win a Moser Engineering 40-spline aluminum center section, valued at $2100! The points series includes prizes from the top companies in the business who have chose to invest in our program and give back to our racers. Support the companies, who support you! 2024's Point Series is set to pay out over $48,000 in prizes!

The 2024 Spring Stampede is set to be a great weekend of racing with something to do for the entire family! We will have the bounce house and water slide, appreciation dinner, food trucks, staging lane hospitality tent, beer parties and more! We're looking forward to racing in Texas on Memorial Day Weekend with all of you at one of the premier racing facilities in the country, the Texas Motorplex!
